<DIV dir=ltr><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV dir=ltr><FONT face=Arial size=2>We looked into whether the change in DST
affects PowerHouse and the answer is no it doesn't. In other words, none of the
PowerHouse functions are affected by the change. We get the time from the system
and we don't have any time calculations that work differently depending on
daylight savings time.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV dir=ltr><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV dir=ltr><FONT face=Arial size=2>That said, applications will have to be
checked to see if they make use of time calculations that may be affected. For
example, if an application was calculating the number of hours worked and shifts
included an overnight shift, the application would have to take into account the
change to daylight savings time. If a person worked from midnight to 8 AM and
overnight DST kicked in, the application would have to know that DST started (or
ended) and what the policy is on times. In other words, does the person work an
extra hour (or one less) and how is that accounted. Since the date/day when DST
starts and ends is important, the application may have to change if these are
hardcoded. If the dates are parameterized, then it should be a simple matter to
change the dates.</FONT></DIV>
<DIV dir=ltr><FONT face=Arial size=2></FONT> </DIV>
<DIV dir=ltr><FONT face=Arial size=2>But as far as Powerhouse itself is
concerned, there is no impact.</FONT></DIV>

<P><FONT face=Arial size=2>Hi,</FONT> <BR><FONT face=Arial size=2>I guess the
following question could be a general question for all versions of powerhouse on
all platforms, but, just in case I'm running PH 7.10.G1 and 7.10.E6 on VMS
7.3-1.</FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Arial size=2>Is anyone aware of any issues or gotchas regarding
the upcoming Daylight Saving Time date change?</FONT> <BR><FONT face=Arial
size=2>Am I missing something by assuming that as long as the O/S is patched,
that any call my powerhouse apps are doing regarding time will simply pull from
the system time and therefore no problem?</FONT></P>
<P><FONT face=Arial size=2>Thanx</FONT> <BR><FONT face=Arial
